The Port of Hvide Sande is a centre for cargo which, through the North Sea, is transported to and from mid-Jutland and west-Jutland.

Vesthavnen (the western port, quay 110 and 111) at Hvide Sande was built for cargo and offshore activities. The quay 110, 111 and 11 has a water depth of 7 m, ISPS facilities, at quay 110 and 111 a load capacity of 10 tonnes/m2 and storage areas close to the pier.

Route 15 from the motorway grid west of Herning to Hvide Sande does not have any restrictions in terms of height and width, and there is a direct connection to the overall road network.
