The pontoon bridges for yachts are in the southern port immediately starboard when ships enter the port. In the summer season, two pontoons are dedicated to yachts. The mooring points are only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Hvide Sande town in a quiet and attractive corner of the port. Here guests have unique access to all the things that make Hvide Sande a popular tourist and holiday town.

You will find exciting shops and well-visited cafés in this area, where the children-friendly southern beach can be reached on foot within a few minutes. The southern beach was elected Denmark’s best bathing beach in 2013. From the pontoons there is also a view of the fishing port’s many other activities, and the auction house is very close by. Every day in July and August fish auctions take place where the fresh fish from the sea landed in the port are sold.

Visiting yachts have free access to the welfare building that lies as a continuation of the pontoons. The building contains a common room, a shower room with a shower cabinet and a laundry room. The facilities can be used for free by visiting yachts, and there is also a washing machine and a tumbler that takes coins.

If you are looking for adventures that are different from life in the port and from the fishing activities in the fishing port, you can go through the lock at Blåtårn in the fjord, where the Port of Hvide Sande has berths in the Fjordhavnen (fjord port).
Navigation and currents here are not much different from those of the other west coast ports – especially after the new outer piers have been established, where the water depth has been increased significantly and navigation is therefore even better and safer than before. The port guard is always ready to give advice on phone +45 97 31 16 33 if you have any questions.

There is a toll station for yachts at the pontoon bridges. The information boards here provide information on activities and other relevant things plus things to do with tourism. The tourist office will always help you with information about the many activities in Hvide Sande and the attractions and things the town has to offer. The tourist office is on the other side of the sluices at the Fiskeriets Hus, only a 10-minute walk from the berths.
